Is a Motus AY treatment right for me?

One of the breakthrough benefits of the Motus AY is that it is safe and effective for light to dark skin types. Whether you have fine, light hair or a darker skin tone, the Motus AY can be used to target and permanently remove unwanted hair. The Motus AY may also be used with tanned skin, however, it is always recommended that you talk with Dr. White about your specific skin conditions before treatment.

What makes Motus AY different from other lasers for hair removal?

The three main differences between the Motus AY and other technologies for laser hair removal are:

The Motus AY eliminates the trade-offs that come with other laser hair removal options. For instance, an Nd:YAG laser can be used across skin types, but is less effective. Other technologies are highly effective, but treatments are difficult to tolerate.

What to expect during the Motus AY laser hair removal consultation

During the consultation, you will be asked about your appearance goals and complete medical history. How to prepare for Motus AY laser hair removal

Laser hair removal can make the skin more sensitive due to light energy exposure during the treatment. Patients must avoid plucking, waxing, or bleaching hair for at least a month before the appointment. This will help retain hairs’ roots, which need to be present for the treatment to work.

24 or 48 hours before the appointment, patients can shave the area for treatment.

A week before Motus AY laser hair removal, avoid excessive sun exposure. Wear broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 to maintain healthy skin.

At least 48 hours before the session, avoid drinking alcoholic beverages or coffee.
