Joy E. White, MD, owner of White Diamond Medical Clinic and Spa, PLLC, is an Internal Medicine practitioner specializing in preventative medicine and therapeutic spa services in Charlotte, NC. She strongly believes in treating her clients and patients without the use of medications as the first resort.
Dr. White earned her Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Howard University in Washington DC, followed by a Master of Science degree in Basic Medical Sciences from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI. She also received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, MI.
Dr. White knew at the age of five years old that she wanted to become a physician and make a difference in the lives of others. She was exposed to medicine at a very early age while spending time with her mother, a retired RN, in many clinics for the impoverished community. She continued her spirit of giving back to others by volunteering as a physician in a free clinic for women and children. It was at this moment that she became inspired to position herself to be able to create the same type of resources for abused and homeless women and their children. Hence the birth of White Diamond Medical Clinic and Spa. Many of the proceeds from the medical spa will go to benefit White Diamond Outreach Foundation, a charitable organization that she is currently developing.
Dr. White is a member of the Association of College Physicians and the American Medical Association. In her spare time, Dr. White enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
